Amman, Jordan – September 2025

His Majesty King Abdullah II inaugurated Hangar 7 (H7), Jordan’s newest and most advanced aircraft maintenance facility, in a landmark event that underscores the Kingdom’s rising stature in the global aviation industry. As the largest hangar in Jordan and one of the largest of its kind worldwide H7 will transform the nation’s MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) capabilities, positioning Jordan as a regional center of excellence.

The facility introduces five additional maintenance lines, including one with full capability to accommodate the Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft. This scale of infrastructure provides Jordan with the flexibility to serve both wide-body and narrow-body fleets, elevating its competitiveness in a rapidly expanding global aviation market.

Beyond its technical capacity, H7 is expected to generate more than 400 new jobs, directly contributing to Jordan’s workforce development. The hangar’s presence will attract international carriers seeking reliable MRO services, channel new investment into the sector, and deliver a lasting economic impact across the Kingdom.

A project of this magnitude demanded an innovative construction approach. The hangar was built using a modular construction strategy, allowing prefabricated structural elements to be assembled on the ground and then lifted into place with precision. This ensured both safety and efficiency at unprecedented scale while achieving the vast clear spans and significant heights required to service modern aircraft.

Manroll Contracting Company (MCC) played a pivotal role in bringing Hangar 7 to life, overseeing the superstructure and complete MEP installation. The modular approach, combined with advanced engineering practices and meticulous execution, ensured the project was delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This landmark project reinforces MCC’s position as a leading construction company in Jordan and the Middle East, known for handling complex engineering projects, advanced modular construction techniques, and world-class aviation facilities.

Speaking at the inauguration, His Majesty highlighted the importance of H7 as a strategic national asset, reinforcing Jordan’s commitment to innovation, investment, and excellence in infrastructure.

With the opening of Hangar 7, Jordan takes a decisive step forward strengthening its aviation industry, creating sustainable economic opportunities, and cementing its reputation as a regional and global hub for aircraft maintenance.
